The Metaverse

We accept the reality of the World with which we’re presented. It’s as simple as that.

– Christof, The Truman Show

I was listening to a podcast recently and this quote from The Truman Show was mentioned. “We accept the reality of the world with which we’re presented.” Christof reveals an important truth in our world we regularly overlook or miss. What we believe to be our reality is in truth just a construction of those in power. The media and the government (lest I repeat myself) consistently promote what is false or divisive while squash anything questioning their narrative. Simply put our reality is largely curated.

We are fed what we are meant to see. Time for a war? Show the masses pictures of oppressed masses in some previously unknown country. Time for elections? Show mostly peaceful protests to one side and riots to the other. Time for relaxation and consumption? Super Bowl Sunday!!! We are trained like cattle to see a stimulus and respond accordingly. We completely miss how the world really works. The world is shrouded in a thick fog. The worst part is we accept it without question. We rarely attempt to turn on the fog lights and work our way out.

Our curated reality is largely focused on the negative. We focus on war, death, pestilence, violence, sexual immorality, racism, sexism, ableism, ageism, this -ism and that -ism. Pornography is readily available. It is promoted to children. We are now sexualizing our children increasingly in the open. There is no safe space. No where to turn in society to escape any of these issues in our world. Everything is subverted and made evil in our society as we continue our descent into destruction.

People are discontent with everything. We have been made to hate everything about everything. Our bodies are either bad because we are too fat or too skinny. Nothing can satisfy the narcissism of our age. We are brought up to believe that even our physical bodies are not gifts from God but evil “skinsuits” just to keep us from being truly alive. Even enlightened.

Our curated reality is finding its next chapter in the Metaverse. Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg (possibly a human) has revealed his latest attempt in the destruction of humanity. A virtual reality space that Ernest Cline warned us about in his Ready Player One. This virtual space intended to remove us from the physical world and replace it with a digital one. A place without sickness, or hatred, or even death. A world where nothing truly matters. Nothing to hold you back. This includes your own body. You can change everything about yourself and no one will ever know. You can escape everything while escaping nothing in reality.

As a society we fear death. As Adam sinned all men will die. It is a sticking point for nearly everyone. The plandemic has made this embarrassingly apparent. Only the elderly were at real serious risk of death from this virus. At that, only around a 5% chance over 65 at death. In order to save the Boomers we shamefully have destroyed much of our children. As our culture pushes Death on us we quake in our boots when the consequences of Death ring at our doors.

The purpose of the Metaverse’s subversion is to attempt to create a world without suffering. It feels blasphemous to even say it. That man could possibly create a world to “escape God’s creation” with the belief that we can make it better. It reminds me of a quote from Fr. Seraphim Rose, “Suffering is an indication of another Kingdom which we look to. If being a Christian meant being ‘happy’ in this life, we wouldn’t need the Kingdom of Heaven.” We mustn’t forget this. It is imperative to remember that there is another Kingdom we were always meant for. Our suffering is a reminder.

Unsurprisingly, the utopia of Metaverse is already slipping into the moral and ethical decay of our physical world. I have heard stories of “digital prostitution” occurring in the Metaverse. So much for the “land without suffering.”

As we continue into our dystopia we must continue to fight as best we can. Our efforts will not be in vain. The best resistance is to continue to reject their system. We encourage ostrazation from the death around us. Why would we want to partake in this? We shield our women and children from their perversions and allow them to lead their children. Their system only works if we let it. As men we have a duty to fight and lead the way. I will leave you with one last quote. Stay strong brothers!

The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.

– G.K. Chesterton
